Trust & safeguarding

Built with clinicians. Answerable to families.

NeuroKids Space is a father-founded platform reviewed by working NHS-registered clinicians, SLTs, OTs, SENCOs and autistic self-advocates. This page names them, and shows you how we handle safeguarding when something concerns us.

Safeguarding policy

Our full policy is DPIA-ready for UK schools. Below is the plain-language summary every parent should read.

1

What we look out for

Any content or message hinting at abuse, self-harm, exploitation, or immediate danger to a child. This includes AI-generated content and chat messages between adults on the platform.

2

How the platform helps

A live safeguarding rules engine scans posts and chat messages for flag phrases (self-harm, disclosure keywords, contact-outside-app requests). Flags land in an admin queue reviewed within one working day.

3

When we escalate

If we believe a child is at risk of significant harm we will refer to the relevant statutory body (Local Authority in the UK, or CPS/equivalent internationally) and contact the parent — unless doing so would increase risk.

4

What parents and pros can do

Anyone can flag content or a user from inside the app. Emergency in-progress risk should always go to 999 (UK) / 112 (EU) / 911 (US) first; then email us so we can lock the account and preserve evidence.

How to reach us

If a child is in immediate danger

Call your local emergency services first — 999 (UK), 911 (US), 112 (EU) — then email us so we can lock the account and preserve evidence.

For everything else

Trust starts with saying who we are.
